Yamaha’s EKB division launches ‘compelling and comprehensive’ product range for 2010/11 2606_Yamaha%20pianos
Yamaha EKB has launched a raft of high quality keyboards for 2010 and 2011, comprising an elegant line-up that the company is hailing as its best yet.

The new instruments covers the breadth of the company’s customer base, ranging from the entry level to high-end Clavinovas, the new Tyros 4 and the revolutionary Avant Grand piano.

At the entry level, the new E423 keyboard delivers 700 synth and instrument sounds, as well as a built in 6-track recorder – all for a retail price of just £270. The Piaggero is a lighweight piano with heavyweight features, including a graded piano action, which retails at £336. The new P series pianos target the pianist on the move, with the P95 being light and easily portable while delivering a great piano experience on stage or at home. Prices start at £593. The DGX is aimed at both piano purists and digital wizards, being a versatile workstation with a great piano at its heart. The DGX encourages experiments in sound and music production, with prices starting at £764.

The Arius range combines all that is best in Yamaha digital pianos, while also being an ideal instrument for the beginner. With prices starting at £719, its realistic touch and rich selection of sounds reward and encourage practice, while the built-in recorder is both fun and a valuable aid to learning.

Bridging the gap between the budget and the highest end of quality digital pianos, the Clavinova range has been the very definition of the sector for 25 years. An elegant combination of tradition and technology, and with prices starting at £1,103 and building to £13,104, there is a Clavinova for every home and budget.
In the serious keyboard world, the name Tyros has become synonymous with desirability. It’s the most comprehensively specified instrument Yamaha produces and now, in its fourth incarnation, more powerful than ever.

Last, but by no means least, the Avant Grand hybrid piano, available as either upright or grand, combines a real grand piano action with state of the art digital sampling to deliver a completely new, yet familiar, playing experience. It’s the ultimate expression of Yamaha’s unique combination of traditional heritage and digital expertise, and, the company claims, there is simply no substitute for playing it.

"In these challenging times its vital to be providing maximum support to our dealer partners , this year we have produced the most compelling EKB value for money offer ever," explained Yamaha's director of the EKB division, Robert Wenbster. "Budget conscious customers can still enjoy the quality and capabilities of highly affordable Yamaha instruments.

"This Christmas Yamaha dealers can present the consumer and musician alike with an outstanding choice from 'value for money keyboards' to the 'high technology Tyros' and then sheer performance and luxury of Clavinova and Avant Grand.

"We all know times are tough but people still want to make music and Yamaha have provided a range that is easy on the pocket, so whilst the average prices may have been reduced our ambition is to drive even greater numbers of customer to our dealers thus ensuring that overall we all make more money."
